We’re back: a Covid-19 update

Dear Referees, Observers, Referee Abroad followers,

We trust you’re keeping safe as the coronavirus continues to impact our communities around the world.

We wanted to take the opportunity to provide you with an update on our tournaments.

While football continues to be suspended throughout most of Europe and most of the world, we are starting to see a “light” at the end of the tunnel and we hope tournaments will be back in a few months time.

As you may have read on the news, the European Union has recently opened up for travel within the European community and to/from 15 countries outside its borders – we hope this is only the start and that our lives and freedom to travel will be completely back to normal soon, as this will mean that the coronavirus is finally defeated.

At Referee Abroad we hope to celebrate our first tournament with the Elite Neon Cup that will be held in Greece in September, followed by tournaments in Portugal, the USA, Brasil and many other European countries in December and in 2021.

As such we are now opening booking for both our tournaments at the end of 2020 and the 2021 editions of our main events such as the IberCup or Paris World Games.

A word of notice though – while applications will open up, participation will be conditional on the pandemic situation, something that will be evaluated closer to each tournament. Hence, acceptances for our 2021 events will take longer than usual – we ask for your patience. Please refer to our T&C for more details. Please refer to our T&C for more details.

Should a cancellation happen due to covid-19, Referee Abroad is committed to offering you maximum flexibility – you’ll be able to use the entire value towards any other tournament up until and including 2022.

We hope this will not be necessary and that we will finally be able to see you all again at our tournaments. We are looking forward to working with you!
