Referee Abroad is happy to announce the official partnership with the RAJ, Referees’ Association of Japan.
The RAJ represents football referees in Japan and will enter an agreement of mutual partnership with Referee Abroad which will see the two organizations arrange joint referee development events where both Japanese and European officials will be able to meet, travel to the respective countries and exchange experienced.
The partnership will start already in 2023, with a delegation of Japanese referees, led by former World Cup official Hiroshi Yamauchi, visiting two international tournaments hosted by Referee Abroad, the Paris World Games in France and the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
“We are excited at what this partnership will bring, Japan has produced excellent referees throughout the years and we are very happy to be able to welcome some of their brightest prospects to our tournaments”, Daniele Curcio, President of Referee Abroad, said.
“We are also looking forward to starting the groundwork to be able to offer RA referees the opportunity to visit Japan soon”, he added.
“Partnering with Referee Abroad is undoubtedly one of the best events of the year. It is a pleasure for us to be able to contribute not only to the development of young referees in Japan, but also to the development of referees around the world through this partnership. We appreciate the collaboration.”, Jumpei Iida, Chairperson of RAJ, commented.
Thank you and welcome to the RAJ!
