Today we’d like to introduce you to a member of our international community.
Alan Hill is a referee and observer from London FA who, over the past few years, has been collecting old referee jerseys from referees around the UK and the World to be sent to referees in various African countries, who lack basic equipment.
Every year Alan collects, prepares and ships tens to hundreds of referee jerseys to countries like Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and many more.
Alan’s work has given many referees the opportunity ot receiving much needed equipment, therefore carrying on with the job we all love – refereeing.
If you have any old jersey you no longer use, and would like to donate it, we invite you to contact Alan on Facebook. He, and the referees in Africa, will be very happy to receive your support.
Below are some pictures which testify the great work Alan has been doing over the past few years.
Well done, Alan!
