Dear Referees,
We hope you are safe and well.
We would like to provide you with a brief update on our 2021 tournaments as things stand.
While the situation is slowly improving all around the world, most tournament organizers have decided, following government advice, to postpone once again the tournaments they were planning to organize this summer.
We remain confident however that at least a few of our summer tournaments may go ahead, albeit smaller in size. We are actively contacting our tournament database across Europe and worldwide to understand if and where we can bring international referees. We will reach out to each and everyone of you once we have a definite answer.
As things stand the following tournaments have been postponed: Ibercup, Paris World Games, Gothia Cup, Gothia Cup China.
Many of you have received voucher from us from tournaments due to take place in 2020. We are hapy to confirm that these vouchers will extend also into 2022. You’ll be able to use them at your earliest convenience for any of the tournaments across our network.
We expect the situation to fully go back to normal from August onwards. We hope to host a tournament in Greece in August followed by, travel restrictions permitting, tournaments in the USA and Portugal during the winter. Once our activities restart a new covid-19 safe policy will be enforced – only referees and observers who have been fully vaccinated will be allowed to attend our events.
We are confident we will be able to meet again on a football field very soon. In the meantime, thank you once again for your support. Stay safe!
